Chicago Wine and Champagne

Deciding what kind of wine and champagne you want to serve at your wedding is a big decision because the difference between one bottle to another can be monetarily significant. If you're not a big wine connoisseur you may not even know where to begin or what to look for. You need to first figure out how many guests are coming to the wedding, so that you can have a better idea of how much money you'll be ultimately spending. Not everyone will drink wine or champagne throughout the night, this will most likely depend on the number of people in the older age category. Of course, every single guest will be served champagne for the reception toasts, so you'll need to factor in one to two glasses per person at the very least. For some weddings the rule of thumb is half a bottle per person. This could be a lot of bottles!

Champagne should always be served in flute glasses in order to retain the bubbles and flavor, and should be served at forty-five degree temperature. There are many different types of champagne; if you want one of the better champagnes you can go with a Brut, which has the driest flavor than any other champagne. Driest is best, the sweeter a champagne is the cheaper it tends to be. You may want to visit a few vineyards and sample some of the different wine and champagne types in order to get a better sense of the difference in flavor. It is your wedding and you want to enjoy the wine too. If you don't drink either one very often you won't notice a huge distinction between one wine to another, but your guests who are wine enthusiasts will.

You won't to buy something that has a moderately good taste for the price. Anything that the wine fan club loves is probably going to be extremely expensive. It is nice to buy great wine and champagne if you can afford it, but for many it's not something on which you like to waste your money. And that's perfectly understandable, there are so many other things to buy and think about.

You can have wine made for your wedding in either: red, white, sparkling, or blush. Most people tend to go with white for weddings, but red is a popular tasting wine. Dom Pérignon is an extremely renowned wine for its incomparable flavor, quality and longevity. Most wines are made from a blend of grapes taken from various vineyards while Dom Pérignon is manufactured from the grapes of one single vineyard. This results in a delicious and unbeatable finish. Of course, this will attribute to the cost of one single bottle being quite substantial depending on the year it was made. You could consider purchasing a couple bottles for just the bridal table.

If you're thinking of doing champagne and hors douerves between the time of the ceremony to the reception, gouda and colby cheese are great combined with champagne, as well as most fruits. Some other ideas are buying miniature champagne wedding favors, or engraved champagne wedding favors for your guests. Some vendors will bottle some of the wine or champagne in a small bottle and label it with a photo of the bride and groom. There are also personalized champagne glasses for wedding favors in which your guests can use at the reception and then take home with them as a memento.

There are so many options when it comes to choosing wine, and make sure that you purchase it from a good vendor and that you buy enough. You don't want to run out during the wedding reception! Find yourself a great company here at Chicago Bridal Site today!
